Hughie Traditional Loden Hunting Field Coat

The Hughie is an authentic and traditional Loden Field Coat. If you know about this wonderful fabric, you will know that there are many imitators, but there is only one genuine Loden fabric for a genuine field coat and it is the 80% Merino Wool, 20% Alpaca Himalaya fabric from Austria. This is the ONLY naturally waterproof and breathable Loden, used for more than 100 years. We buy it from one of the original Loden producers, Leichtfried of Austria. They have been making these wonderful fabrics since 1884. No imitation here.

The coat is lined with a soft, waterproof quilted microfibre that we buy from Olmetex of Italy and the insulation is Primaloft cross-core Gold.

All beautifully trimmed with French Cowbelly leather that we buy from Tanneries Pechdo of France. Although if you do prefer your coat without leather, that is OK too. The Zip is a sturdy size 10 antique brass, 2-way opening. The ultimate warm and waterproof Loden coat and made by us in our own workshop.
