Trousers
We didn't originally intend to make trousers. But then 2 things happened. Firstly, I began to wonder why it is that whilst we wear all sorts of warm coats and jackets, we mainly wear cotton trousers and hardly ever anything warm such as wool. Then secondly, some of our skilled machinists and tailors have the know how to make beautifully crafted trousers.
The main reason that there are not many wool trousers on the market is because they are bloody expensive! Both to make and to buy. Harris tweed for example, costs 20X more to purchase the raw material, than it does for a decent cotton or denim. I suppose therefore that for most brands there can't be any volume in it and so why bother. But we've never been about volume, never will be. We just want to make nice stuff from the best fabrics in the world and even if we find only a small market for what we do and what we offer, it's OK.
