Loden - Ventile - Goosedown Gilet

We made this luxurious waterproof waistcoat after our customers who had purchased the 'Hughie' Loden jacket had requested it. My first thoughts were "why does a waistcoat need to be waterproof?", but it sells and I'm STILL wondering why!

The outer shell is made from the best Loden fabric in the world from Leichtfried of Austria. It has been in their range for 100 years. Made from 80% wool and 20% Alpaca. It has a beautiful handle. When it gets wet, the alpaca swells and prevents water from passing. The lining is also waterproof and made from the world famous Ventile fabric and then the whole thing is lined in 80g pure Goosedown!!
